I would like to start a group of cis women, trans women and nonbinary people - Jewish and Jewish adjacent (loved ones or dear friends) - that are desiring of Jewishly centered community, earth connection, seasonal cycling, ritual, song and conversation. Ideally, each session will have an outdoor and accessible movement component. To begin with, we will meet at my farm, and then we can discuss meeting location. I would like this to be a nurturing space of openness, exploration, mutual support - grounded in the belief that we each can enrich the circle as we are.

I am in my late 40s', a cis, white, Ashkenazi Jewish woman, mother of children ages 10 and 13, wife, daughter, sister song leader, farmer, and a lay educator at my synagogue. For 8 years I have been, and continue to be, in a process of discovering a Jewish practice that feels supportive to me -which includes the process of naming and wrestling with the parts of Jewish traditions and texts that do not. I believe there is beautiful wisdom, ritual and teachings that can enhance our connections with ourselves, each other, the more than human world (earth, animals, plants), and spirit and that we can be active and creative shapers of those rituals (and that this process is fundamentally very Jewish). I am inspired Jewishly by Judaism Unbound, Kohenet (I have completed their Ma'galah program), Let My People Sing, and the Jewish Farmers Network. Otherwise, I love to spend time with my family, dance, lift weights, eat and cook good food, play with creative endeavors. read and travel.

Step One

Connect

A new Well Circle is typically organized by 1-2 people who lead the process of inviting a small group to form a circle. We have plenty of resources to support our members who are forming new circles.

Step Two

Commit

Each Well Circle member commits to meeting monthly for Rosh Chodesh. You can get started by browsing open circles, starting a new circle, or signing up for notifications about circles in formation!

Step Three

Gather

Circles gather around the new moon and use the month’s Moon Manual to build an intentional space for reflection, storytelling, and support. Every circle is unique and sets their own intentions for the space.
