Biblical Babes: Vashti

Get inspired by this powerful woman in Jewish tradition — and see how her lessons apply to our own lives.

Details

Join L to uplift the stories of women in Jewish tradition — and see how their lessons apply to our own lives.

This month we will be looking at the inspiring story of Vashti. We’ll explore overcoming expectations. Vashti offers us a model for how to tune into our true selves, so we can step powerfully into who we're meant to be.

We know we are not the first people in history to face unfair expectations of who we should be and how we should behave. There is strength and reassurance in looking to our matriarchs and learning from their experiences.

At The Well events are for those 18 years old and beyond who identify as women or nonbinary. We strive to be an inclusive environment for women and nonbinary folks of all races, classes, abilities, life stages, religious affiliations, sexual orientations, and gender expressions.

Together we will...

Connect: As we celebrate the stories of our matriarchs, we hold space to share and listen to one another’s stories as well.

Learn: No previous knowledge needed, we promise! This is an opportunity to learn together in a welcoming community.

Transform: Embrace your curiosity and be inspired by the women who came before us.

This space will be facilitated by At The Well’s Program Coordinator, Lillie Benowitz. You can learn more about Lillie on At The Well’s website.
