The Intergenerational Holiness of our Bodies: Connecting with Rosh Chodesh

Join At The Well in partnership with Adas Israel Congregation for this special Shvat gathering in DC.

Details

The Cyclical nature of the Hebrew calendar, including passage from one moon to the next is reflective of movement of one generation to the next, as well as the cyclical nature of our bodies. We desire to bring forward the awareness of these cycles as a spiritual practice, grounded in connection to Rosh Chodesh, the New Moon.

Please join us for an evening of learning, discussion, reflection, and sharing as we explore how Judaism gives us wisdom to think about and understand our bodies---understanding our bodies as holy objects. The evening is open to people of all ages and genders. There will be opportunity for small group connectivity, learning, story telling, and text study. This unique program provides a chance for togetherness and connection to our fellow community members, while connecting to the sacredness of the Hebrew month of  Shvat.

Facilitated by Rabbi Lauren Holtzblatt from Adas Israel, Sarah Waxman from At The Well, and Mickie Simon, MSW, Jewish Mindfulness Teacher
