POSITION SUMMARY

At The Well is a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance women’s well-being through ancient Jewish practices. Our programs are designed to help women learn about Jewish wellness, step into leadership, and ultimately find their space of belonging.

At The Well is emerging as a global resource for women and nonbinary individuals who are seeking connection to their bodies, spiritual practices and community – all rooted in serious Jewish learning. We are seeking a Jewish Education Director who will work collaboratively across the organization to provide the Jewish content expertise and leadership that is necessary to strengthen our content, outreach, and engagement. The Jewish Education Director will report to the Chief Growth Officer and will work closely with the Program & Marketing Teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Curriculum Development

  • Conduct research and develop quality curricula and learning opportunities for new and existing ATW programs.
  • Establish feasible timeframes and measure and evaluate programs and curricula.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director and Marketing Director, build out new programs that support At The Well’s mission of enhancing women’s well-being through ancient Jewish practices.
  • Provide a key role in continuing to develop programming for Rosh Chodesh, monthly Hebrew themes, Biblical women, and women in different life stages.

Facilitation

  • Lead every-other-week 1-hour Torah learning sessions via Zoom for At The Well staff, consultants and volunteers.
  • Provide one-on-one Jewish wisdom coaching to Moon Manual contributors, and provide written comments to blog writers, as they craft their essays and/or activities.
  • Lead monthly virtual public programs for At The Well network.
  • Facilitate At The Well programs virtually and in-person – in your home city and other cities around the US.
  • Host short-form content on At The Well’s social media channels as needed, including Instagram Live programming, with the support of our social media coordinator.
  • Help Program team identify other facilitators as needed.

Jewish Learning Resource

  • Provide guidance and serve as a Jewish-learning resource to staff, consultants, and volunteers.
  • Help At The Well to celebrate diverse thoughts and identities by lifting up and empowering all voices.

  • Strong Jewish studies background and teaching experience, including written and verbal Hebrew skills to provide context in learning.
  • Experience with design thinking for curriculum/product development.
  • Engaging teacher and storyteller able to seamlessly weave ancient Jewish wisdom into a spiritual practice that enhances users’ well-being.
  • Strong computer skills and virtual engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation, written and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to engage with sensitivity and nuance with adults from diverse backgrounds and across the spectrum of Jewish and non-Jewish identity.
  • Experience working with others virtually who are based in various time zones globally.
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends, and to travel to our gatherings in person.

You seamlessly weave ancient Jewish wisdom with modern-day sources and context into a reflective wellness experience. With much of our work being carried through written documents and curriculum, it is imperative that you can put this all on paper for others to easily understand and use.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a 40-hour/week exempt position for someone based in the USA. Compensation will be within a range of $70,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience.
